When the fish is back in the middle of the meeting table, someone else can pick it up and do the talking. Others use the toyfish as an expression for 'the fish on the counter'. Let's talk about the real meaning. What really lies behind it? Others have used the fish as a signal to the manager: 'There is something I would like to talk about when you have the time'.
